The office accepts the Canadian Dental Care Plan and can help with insurance estimates and claims.
Insurance claims
Rabbit Hill Family Dentistry assists with predetermination and with submitting claims. The primary financial relationship is with the patient, and the patient is responsible for the fees.
You pay, then claim
You pay the office and your insurer reimburses you.
Insurer pays the office
The office accepts payment from your insurer and keeps a credit card on file for any remaining balance.
Coverage depends on the plan. Orthodontic benefits often have a lifetime maximum. Bring your insurance card. Call 780-432-3430 if you want the office to look at a plan before you come in.
Treatment estimates
For treatment that is not an emergency, the office can send a predetermination so you can see what the plan may pay. An estimate is not a guarantee. The insurer decides the final amount from your current plan.
Canadian Dental Care Plan
The practice accepts the CDCP. Patients apply through the Government of Canada, not through the clinic. Public program criteria, which you should confirm on the government site, generally include all of the following:
- You do not have access to private dental insurance.
- Your adjusted family net income is under $90,000.
- You are a Canadian resident for tax purposes.
- You filed a tax return for the previous year.
The plan may cover part of the cost of many dental services. Some care needs pre-authorization. The CDCP may not pay the full fee. Apply or read the current rules at the Canadian Dental Care Plan page.
Alberta programs
Some patients qualify for a provincial dental program. Confirm eligibility with the Government of Alberta. Once you have coverage, the office can work with the information you bring.
If cost is a concern
Call and say so. The team can talk through an estimate and which care is more time-sensitive. A third-party financing plan is not published on this site.
